What You Bring to The Team:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Understanding of accounting best practices
  • Confidence with computers and software: Google suites, Zoom, Scheduling tools, etc.
  • Competency in Quickbooks
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Willingness to learn new software
  • Excellent multitasking skills

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

A Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining a business’ financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments. The bookkeeper will record financial data into general ledgers, which are used to produce the balance sheet and income statement. 

  • Documenting transaction details
  • Audit transactions daily, weekly, monthly
  • Putting together financial reports
  • Fact-checking accounting data
  • Notify senior staff of any accounting errors
  • Calculate interest charges
  • Recording financial transactions
  • Tracking payroll data
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Applying basic accounting procedures and in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Perform month and year-end close process, with the timely preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by key stakeholders
  • Monthly reconciliation
  • Enter data, maintain records and lunch reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handles payroll in a timely manner
