ARTIST STATEMENT
The invented narratives and mythologies in my work centre around Nu Xingtian, my re imagining of a Chinese mythological deity, as a personal symbol of feminist resistance. My society of multiple Nu Xingtian inhabits an imaginary realm where the liminal becomes a space of alternative existence. The scene within this mural depicts a dreamlike moonscape to draw viewers into the imaginary world created within my art practice.
