What You Bring to The Team: the Facilities Associate plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of a commercial office building. This position involves a blend of light maintenance work, exterior cleaning, and general facilities support tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and presentable environment for tenants and visitors.
- Perform minor facilities work and basic maintenance (e.g., changing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, small repairs)
- Conduct routine exterior cleaning tasks including:
- Power washing walkways, entryways, and exterior surfaces
- Leaf blowing and debris removal around the building perimeter
- Window washing (ground-level and accessible surfaces)
- Carry out interior cleaning duties such as:
- Trash and recycling removal
- Spot cleaning common areas and restrooms as needed
- Restocking janitorial supplies
- Support vendors and contractors as needed during onsite work
- Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or equipment failures to the Facilities Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the building
- Previous experience in facilities, janitorial, or maintenance work preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., power washers, leaf blowers) safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and building systems is a plus
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb ladders, and be on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
This role involves working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Appropriate PPE and training will be provided.
